Radiology Expertises

In our department, interventional radiology, neuroradiology, musculoskeletal radiology, breast radiology, abdominal and chest imaging are performed by experienced faculty members. Direct x-ray, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging services are provided during working hours in polyclinics, and 24/7 in inpatient treatment units and emergency services.In the interventional radiology department, all kinds of biopsies, drainage, cyst treatment, tumor ablation, diagnostic and therapeutic vascular interventions (stenting, aneurysm embolization, tumor radioembolization and venous catheter) are performed. Equipped with modern equipment and facilities, the department continues to keep up with the developments in modern medicine and performs more than 500,000 radiological procedures every year, with the aim of meeting the diagnosis and treatment needs of Akdeniz University Hospital patients. In this respect, it is one of the largest radiology centers in Turkey.
