  OUR VISION AND MISSION
The aim of the Akdeniz University Department of Psychiatry is to provide both high-standard specialist training and quality healthcare services. Akdeniz University Department of Psychiatry trains psychiatrists with a high level of clinical competence in the field of psychiatry in line with scientific and ethical principles through specialist training.

OUR POLYCLINIC SERVICES
Our clinic provides services in a total of 14 outpatient clinics, including specialized outpatient clinics.
• 3 general psychiatry outpatient clinics
• 1 mood disorders outpatient clinic
• 1 psychosis outpatient clinic
• 2 forensic psychiatry outpatient clinics
• 1 behavioral addictions outpatient clinic
• 1 inmate/convict outpatient clinic
• 1 transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) outpatient clinic
• 1 consultation liaison psychiatry (KLP) outpatient clinic
• 1 psychotherapy outpatient clinic
• 2 alcohol and substance addiction outpatient clinics (within AMBAUM)
Our polyclinics are open during weekdays during working hours and accept patients by appointment. Our research assistant physicians evaluate patients under the supervision of academic staff. Three general psychiatry polyclinics are open every day of the week during working hours. Patients diagnosed with mood disorders/bipolar disorder are accepted by appointment in our mood disorders polyclinic every day of the week. Psychiatric treatment and psychosocial support are provided to patients with chronic physical diseases in our KLP polyclinic, and organ transplant candidates are also evaluated. Patients diagnosed with schizophrenia/psychosis are evaluated in our psychosis polyclinic located in Gündüz Hastanesi, and psychosocial support is provided to patients. Treatment services are provided for behavioral addictions (gambling addiction, internet addiction, social media addiction, etc.), which have been rapidly increasing in recent years, in our behavioral addictions polyclinic. Our two polyclinics, which prepare forensic reports and health board reports, are open every day of the week. There is a psychotherapy unit in our clinic that provides Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Supportive Psychotherapy services. There are also 2 psychologists in our polyclinic and psychometric tests (intelligence test, MMPI, Rorschach) are performed. There is 1 blood collection unit in our polyclinic that is only for psychiatric patients.
