Pediatric Surgery is a medical specialty that deals with congenital malformations, trauma, tumors, and other acquired diseases that occur from the prenatal period through adolescence and can be treated with surgical intervention.
Our team, consisting of pediatric surgery specialists, residents, and nurses, strives to provide the best possible surgical care for children. Approximately 1,200 surgical procedures (operations) are performed annually, whether elective or emergency, outpatient or inpatient, across various areas of pediatric surgery.
In our Pediatric Surgery Clinic, outpatient department, and operating room, in addition to routine cases, complex patients are evaluated in collaboration with other disciplines. Optimal surgical support is provided under current conditions to enhance the quality of patient care, and both clinical and experimental research continues.
Within our department, retrospective and prospective studies of both clinical and experimental nature, including fetal surgery, are conducted in collaboration with related fields. These studies are presented at national and international congresses and published in national and international medical journals.
